How long does a ceramic coating actually last?

Our Crystal package is guaranteed for 5 years and our Ultra package for 9 years. Real-world durability depends on washing technique and exposure, but with proper care our coatings comfortably meet their guarantee period.

What's the difference between Crystal and Ultra?

Crystal uses GTECHNIQ Crystal Serum Light. Single layer, 5-year guarantee. Ultra uses GTECHNIQ Crystal Serum Ultra, a dual-layer nanoparticle structure rated to 10H surface hardness, 9-year guarantee.

Do I still need to wash my car?

Yes, but less often and with much less effort. Dirt and contamination have far less to grip. We supply an aftercare guide on pickup with washing technique and recommended products.

Will it protect against scratches?

The coating significantly increases surface hardness and dramatically reduces light swirling from washing. It is not a substitute for paint protection film (PPF) against rock chips or impact.

01What it is

What a real ceramic coating actually is.

Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that, once cured, chemically bonds with your factory clear coat to form a transparent, hardened shell. The technology behind it is nano-structured silicon dioxide (SiO₂), molecules that cross-link at the surface to create a layer measurably harder, more chemically resistant and more hydrophobic than the paint underneath. We apply it by hand, panel by panel, in a temperature-controlled environment. There are no shortcuts and no spray-on substitutes.

Four ways a real coating
earns its price.

Showroom gloss, intensified

The coating sits on top of your clear coat as a perfectly level layer. Light bounces off it cleanly. Paint colour appears deeper, reflections sharper.

Chemical & UV resistance

Bird droppings, tree sap, road salt, industrial fallout and UV oxidation can't reach the paint underneath. The coating takes the hit, not the panel.

Hydrophobic surface

Water and grime bead and roll off rather than clinging to the paint. Washing becomes faster, contamination has less to grip.

Increased surface hardness

Crystal Serum Ultra is rated to 10H on the pencil hardness scale, significantly above factory clear coat. Marring and light swirling are dramatically reduced.
